I added this comet on v24.4 a few weeks ago (09 Apr 25) without any problems and also calculated ephemeris for it.

I've not tried it on v25.1 (as I didn't like that due to the constellations' name changes so I've reverted back to v24.4 for now).

I've reverted back to v24.4 for now

How did you do this?

See: <http://dss.stellarium.org/stellarium/>

(And I keep one prior  release in order to revert.)

Firstly I uninstalled Stellarium v25.1 from my laptop, but just before it completed I selected for it to not delete my settings to allow them to be used in the future.

Then, in the stellarium home page, the right hand column has 'All Releases'. Use that link and it'll take you into GitHub for Stellarium. Here you need to scroll down to the entry for v24.4 (it's dated Dec 22, 2024). The table at this point lists all the files for v24.4 different OS versions and tells you what each one is for. This helps to narrow it down. Make a note of the file you'll need.

Click on the downloads @v24.4 button at the top in the first block of this table (Just above the words 'Release Notes') and it'll to take you to the page for v24.4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and in the last block and you'll find a big list of "Assets! ie all the versions for different OS etc.

I downloaded the stellarium-24.4-qt5-win64.exe version for my Windows 11 laptop and it works fine.

Hope this helps :-)

Hi Mick, Stellarium has thought of everything. I didn't like that change to the constellation names either, but it turns out that version 25.1 allows you to change the constellation names (native, translated, or abbreviated) in the "View" window, under the "Stellar Culture" tab.
Best regards.

Hi all,

Thank you for the tips.
Yes, one must omit the "SWAN", then it works.

So, the only way to see this comet is to reinstall stellarium? or there is possibility to download the database only. Stellarium 24.4 on 32 bit windows7.
