The Normandy system was the first remote configuration system for Firefox that was used for experimentation and rollouts between 2017-2024, and has now been successfully sunset.  After many years of hard work, the Nimbus team has completed migrating all functionality from Normandy to Nimbus which now covers:

* Experimentation
* Rollouts
* Firefox Labs
* Incident Management
* Messaging and Surveys

All past Normandy recipes and addons have been backed up for posterity.  All Normandy services have been successfully decommissioned.  The public Normandy API endpoints are still available for legacy clients using static snapshots of empty JSON.  The Normandy Client code in Firefox Desktop will soon be removed.  All future experimentation, rollout, and remote configuration use cases for Firefox can be directed to the Nimbus team.  Feel free to contact me for any further information.

+1 to nalexander! A very impressive technical achievement that, from
where I'm sitting, went very smoothly. Well done!
